HealthCrowd’s partnership with Kaiser Permanente’s social health team launched the nation's largest SNAP outreach campaign in 2019.
When I joined the company in 2020, I built upon the data to overhaul the campaign. We began with a pilot in CA and soon expanded to CO, HI, VA, DC, MD, GA, OR, WA, and more. I worked as a part of HealthCrowd’s Content team to iteratively copywrite, design, and help launch the new MMS SNAP campaigns from 2020 to 2022. Together we've helped over 70,000 people apply for SNAP benefits throughout the pandemic.

To date, the Food for Life SNAP enrollment campaign has reached out to more than 1.1 million potentially food-insecure households, representing more than 2.6 million people, across the communities Kaiser Permanente serves. The campaign has seen a 28% response rate, which is significantly higher than the 3% industry standard response rate for broad food assistance outreach. (Source: Kaiser)
